I have an uncle there. Small world! Yes you really need a generator or some other way to take care of yourself in a disaster or bad weather. If you have a fireplace it makes it very nice for heating. We always have a generator, BBQ and propane for cooking. Like you I have to have my internet and coffee! Food is negligible. LOL I would like to ask if you'd care to subscribe to my blogs feed as I'm trying to get 100 readers by the end of Feb. If not it's ok. Living out in a rural area in Texas, we have to keep a generator on hand for just such a case. There is no snow and ice, however we do have storms.
