		<description>Don't you find switching back and forth between multiple desktops takes a long time?  Sure it's really only seconds, but it's still annoying.  It takes time to press the key combinations or mouse over to a list of desktops.  Then there's the system resources required to manage all that extra stuff.

Another option is to set up multiple monitors.  I have two video adapters in my computer - it's a laptop - but you can add a second adapter to a desktop machine quite easily.  Anyway, I use the laptop screen as well as a desktop monitor.  I usually have my email app displayed in one screen and my browser and other apps on the other screen.  When I want to "switch desktops" I just move my eyes.  Most days it's a whole lot faster than pressing keys or using the mouse.  

I had three monitors for a little while, but had to give the third one back.
